Chris Potter is a BRIT Award winning producer and mixer, best known for his work on The Verve's #1 seminal album 'Urban Hymns' which features the classic singles 'Bittersweet Symphony' (certified silver), 'Lucky Man', 'Sonnet' and the UK #1 single 'The Drugs Don't Work' (certified silver). The album is the 17th biggest selling album of all time in the UK. It went on to sell a massive 9 million copies worldwide and is considered a British rock classic. Chris also produced their #1 comeback album 'Forth', including the singles 'Love Is Noise' and 'Rather Be'.
Subsequently, Chris has worked extensively on Richard Ashcroft's solo career, including the top 3 albums 'Keys to the World' (including the singles 'Break the Night with Colour', 'Music Is Power' and 'Words Just Get in the Way'), 'Human Conditions' (featuring the singles 'Check the Meaning', 'Science of Silence' and 'Buy It in Bottles') and the #1 album 'Alone with Everybody' (including the hit singles 'A Song for the Lovers', 'Money to Burn' and 'C'mon People (We're Making It Now)').
Alongside his work with The Verve and Richard Ashcroft, Chris has worked on tracks for The Rolling Stones, including the UK #2 and US #3 album 'Steel Wheels' which was certified 2x platinum The Feeling's #2 platinum selling debut album 'Twelve Stops and Home' (including the hit singles 'Fill My Little World' and 'Rosé') and Gabrielle's self-titled platinum selling second album (including the hit singles 'Walk On By', 'If You Really Cared', 'Forget About the World' and the silver certified single 'Give Me a Little More Time').
Other credits include tracks for U2, Blur, Passenger, The Clash, Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens), The Rifles, I Am Kloot, Keane, Archive, Heather Nova, White Belt Yellow Tag (Distiller Records), Sound of Guns (Distiller Records), The Chakras and The Rifles albums 'Freedom Run' and 'Great Escape'.
Most recently, Chris has produced and mixed five tracks on the forthcoming second studio album from Charlene Soraia, King Charles, Giovanna, Angus & Julia Stone and Richard Ashcroft's upcoming fourth studio album, which is due for release in late 2013.
