JSTRNGS (aka Joshua Ogunmokun) is an exciting, London-based writer, producer, mixer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist. He is a brand new addition to the Z Management roster. Sonically, while his work is grounded in R&B, he also enjoys working across Soul, Afrobeats, Hip-hop/Rap and Pop. He has been a self-taught musician since the age of seven and plays guitar, bass, and keys. J is passionate about giving his music a personal, handcrafted feel, with every record built from scratch.

J’s biggest success to date has been collaborating with the BRIT Award nominated and BBC Sound of 2026 finalist Sasha Keable on her song “work” featuring BEAM, taken from the EP “act right”. J co-wrote and produced the track. He also collaborated with Pip Millett on her singles “Eating out” featuring Rae Khalil (Believe) and “Fight You”. Other recent cuts and collaborations include Kojey Radical, Kwoli Black, Ojerime, Not3s, Sneakbo, Gabzy, Mychelle, Joshua Baraka, Monét, LALA and Hilary Bleu.

JSTRNG’s work has been showcased in multiple shows including the BBC’s Dreaming Whilst Black and the Premier League, reflecting a sound that resonates across genres. His goal is to build a strong reputation for melodic, soulful productions that balance both rhythm and emotion. For context, writers and producers J is inspired by include Uzo, Jermaine Dupree, Darkchild, Pharell, Scott Storch, Fraser T Smith, Sounwave, NOVA WAV, ThankGod4Cody, Scribz Riley, Jae5, Mark Ronson, Jack Antenoff, Om’mas Keith, The Dream, James Fauntleroy, Sevyn Streeter and Frank Ocean.

Operating from his Hackney studio, JSTRNGS works primarily in Logic Pro X, blending live instrumentation with contemporary production to create emotionally rich and sonically detailed records.
