Zita McHugh aka Zita Wadwa-McQ is one of the most successful producer/mixer/writer managers in the music industry today. In the eighties, Zita cut her teeth in the music industry whilst at university, temping at London Records. Under Roger Ames and Tracey Bennett's guidance, she quickly proved her managerial initiative and A&R prowess. This lead to several promotions during her tenure, as A&R coordinator and later A&R liaison manager. Whilst at London Records, Zita was also offered the opportunity to set up a joint venture management company with the legendary Pete Tong and Roger Ames (which was almost unheard of in those days). This company was later christened FFRZ, specifically launched to look after producers, writers and mixers. Zita and her team of young producer/writers from the FFRZ stable, worked on records ranging from East 17Neneh Cherry, Bros, Duran Duran, Bjork, Gabrielle, Fine Young Cannibals and Salt-N-Pepa, through to the seminal Massive Attack album "Blue Lines" (including the classic "Unfinished Sympathy"). Whilst at London, Zita amassed a sound and expert understanding of the ever changing music industry.

In 1994, having become a mother, Zita confidently decided to leave her role at London Records and FFRZ to go it alone. Zita took her clients with her and rebranded as Z Management, the successful company we know today. Z Management was based in Metropolis studios for the next five years, where she represented clients including the now legendary Marcus Dravs, The Boilerhouse Boys, Chris Potter (Z''s first client, still on the books after 25 years) and Mykaell Riley (now Head of Music Production at The University of Westminster).

Z Management continues to specialise in producer, writer and mixer management and has now been active for over twenty years. The company continues to grow, branching out and incorporating musical directors into the fold. Boasting an impressive clientele, Z prides itself on the quality of music delivered and the very high standards set for the roster. During the company's twenty years, Z has worked on hugely successful, commercial and critically acclaimed records ranging from pop juggernauts to indie rock stalwarts and dance anthems. Z clients have worked on countless #1s, top 10s and multimillion platinum selling albums and hit singles, including classic releases from the likes of The Verve ("Urban Hymns"), Ed Sheeran, ("+"), Mumford & Sons ("Babel"), Kylie Minogue ("Fever") Texas ("White On Blonde"), Keane ("Hopes & Fears"), Doves ("The Last Broadcast"), Sugababes ("Taller In More Ways", "Angels With Dirty Faces)", Shawn Mendes ("Handwritten") Atomic Kitten ("Right Now"), Paul Weller ("Stanley Road", "Wild Wood"), Ian Brown ("Music Of The Spheres"), S Club 7 ("Sunshine"), Blue ("All Rise"), Primal Scream ("Vanishing Point"), Stereophonics ("Keep The Village Alive") and much, much more. This success has also led to Grammy and BRIT Award wins and nominations for the likes of Ruadhri Cushnan (Mumford & Sons), Chris Potter (The Verve), Dean James Barratt (Anoushka Shankar) and Jim Lowe (Herbie Hancock). Z also travelled to the Miami Dance Awards to receive the 'Best Pop Dance Track' award for Narcotic Thrust's top 10 smash "I Like It".

In the past couple of years, Z Management has been lucky enough to have had many successes in the UK and worldwide charts as well as international radio playlists. Ruadhri Cushnan mixed hits for artists including Ed Sheeran (Atlantic), Shawn Mendes (Island), Jamie Lawson (Atlantic), LeAnn Rimes (RCA), James Bay (Island/Republic), All Saints (London), Arrow Benjamin (Virgin), James TW (Island) and more. K-Gee has written, produced and executive produced All Saints' top three comeback album "Red Flag" and was also their support DJ on the road. Chris Potter, after twenty years on the books is continuing to have success with Richard Ashcroft, having scored a #3 album. He is currently working on the new "Urban Hymns" box set as well as mixing for Michael Kiwanuka and newcomers Seven Cities. Jim Lowe scored a number one album with the Stereophonics album "Keep the Village Alive". Adrian Hall mixed for All Saints and Du Blonde as well as upcoming releases for Amber Run and Anna Calvi. He also received critical acclaim for producing and mixing NME's 'On the Radar' act Nova Twins. Ben Allen has enjoyed success on the road as the live Musical Director for Izzy Bizu and Amber Run as well as FOH support for Zara Larsson and Kent Jones. Michalis "MsM" Michael mixed the latest Professor Green singles "One Eye On the Door" and "Back On the Market"as well as mixing a track on Giggs' latest album "Landlord", which entered the UK albums chart at #2. He is currently working with Skepta. Toby Scott worked on the latest Kaiser Chiefs album, "Stay Together", which charted at #4 and finally, Dean James Barratt's mix of Craig David's "Don't Go" recently featured on his #1 album "Following My Intuition".

Following the passing of Zita's husband John McHugh (Atlantic Live Productions), Zita has continued to have strong links and ties with Glastonbury Festival, including John's 'Field of Dreams' and London's Brixton Academy. After twenty years in the business, Z Management continues to flourish, thrive and accomplish new goals, records and success.
